Billing and usage

Plans define how much review work your account or team can run in a billing period. Axelium separates review allowances, team seats, and optional top-ups so reviewers can see what capacity remains before starting new work.

What usage means

Usage is tracked around review activity rather than page views. The app surfaces remaining capacity before expensive actions, and team projects draw from team capacity rather than a single person's personal allowance when team billing is active.

  • Personal projects use the owner's plan allowance.
  • Team projects use the team's plan and seat configuration.
  • Top-ups add short-term capacity without changing the base plan.
  • Admins can review plan status and update billing details from the app.

Team seats and shared capacity

Team plans are designed for shared reviews. Seats control who can join the workspace; the review allowance controls how much work the team can run. If a team grows, update seats before inviting additional members so access and billing stay aligned.

NOTE · Who should manage billing

Use an admin or owner account for plan, portal, and top-up decisions. Reviewers can continue methodological work without needing billing permissions.

Past-due and low-capacity states

If a payment issue or depleted allowance prevents new automated work, Axelium keeps existing review data available and points admins toward the next action. In-progress work should be reviewed before starting additional runs after capacity is restored.

Good billing hygiene for teams

  • Confirm which workspace owns a review before inviting collaborators.
  • Keep at least two admins on long-running team reviews.
  • Check remaining allowance before launching large extraction or refresh runs.
  • Use top-ups for short spikes; change plans for sustained usage.
